Lindsay Lohan’s Dad Claims She is Hooked on Oxycontin

I’m really starting to feel sorry for Lindsay Lohan. I mean, who can blame her for being on all sorts of chemicals when her family repeatedly embarrasses her? We already know about her hardcore partying mother. Now her father has decided to join in the fray and talk to the press about Lindsay’s “problems”.

He confessed earlier to E Online that Lindsay is hooked on OxyContin, a very strong prescription painkiller. She is reportedly being treated for those and alcohol abuse right now in rehab.

Michael Lohan thinks that Lindsay is finally receiving the help she needs:

“I spoke to the people treating Lindsay, because I wanted to make sure she was getting the right care. And I’m satisfied they are doing the right thing for her, helping her detox from the painkillers and things. That’s a very important step.”

Might I suggest a longer stay in rehab this time? Apparently the last time wasn’t near long enough to get any help.

Tony Romo Dumps Carrie Underwood For Football Season

Carrie Underwood’s NFL Quarterback boyfriend Tony Romo has decided to call it quits on their relationship - at least during football season.

Since football season doesn’t begin until September, I don’t know why he’s announcing this now. Carrie has reportedly been pushing for a more serious commitment from him.

I hope Carrie dumps the guy once and for all - obviously he’s “just not that into her”.

Paris Hilton Axed From Heiress Book

Paris Hilton’s wounded-dog expression is really old at this point. But I guess she has plenty to be upset about these days. First her upcoming jail stint, and now she finds out that she was axed from an upcoming photo book of the “world’s most stunning heiresses”. Author Moenks and his editors apparently feel she doesn’t fit their high criteria.

“She’s tried to play society like a game of Three-card Monte. Let’s hear it for high standards.”

Ouch.

Kate Winslet On the Movie Set

I bet Kate Winslet is excited to be working with Leonardo DiCaprio again. They are starring together in a film called Revolutionary Road which will be released in 2008.  The movie is about a couple in the 50’s trying to come to terms with their problems while raising kids.

It sounds good to me - pretty much anything Leonardo DiCaprio does is fine with me.  He could run down Fifth Avenue in NYC screaming at the top of his lungs and it would be fine with me.
