Ryan Seacrest Blames Simon For American Idol Ratings Drop
Ryan Seacrest thinks he knows why ratings for “American Idol” have plummeted - because of Simon Cowell.
When asked by reporters about the decline, Seacrest threw around phrases like “over-saturation of of his character”.
Seacrest says there’s just too much of the acid-tongued judge: “Clearly there’s an over saturation of his character.” Seacrest pointed out that the ratings are still high, and addressed buzz that bosses want to change some of the “Idol” judges. “That’s clearly rumor,” he said. “I’m positive you can’t recreate the chemistry that we have with the group on ‘American Idol.’”
I’d have to disagree with Ryan. Personally, I only tune into the over-hyped and repetitive show when I’m in the mood for Simon’s cutting remarks and comments. I mean, how many times can we watch the same thing over and over? At least Simon offers a few laughs to the otherwise bland show.
